Location
The Campbell Bay Music Festival is held on a family property at 327 Campbell Bay Road, at the end of (yup) Campbell Bay on SḴŦAḴ / Mayne Island.
From the Village Bay ferry terminal, take Village Bay road, turn right on Fernhill Road (in the town centre), then left onto Campbell Bay Road.
If you’re traveling from the mainland, there are only 2-3 ferry sailings per day from Tsawwassen / Vancouver, so check the schedules carefully! These ferries will sell out, reservations for vehicles and foot passengers from Tsawwassen are very strongly recommended and can be made at www.bcferries.com or by calling 1-888-BC FERRY (223-3779). Further sailing information from Tsawwassen, Swartz Bay and other terminals is available on the BC Ferries website. Be sure you are looking at schedules for the right time of year when you plan your travel.
Visiting from another Gulf Island? Consider coming as a foot passenger on AquaLink!
The festival site is accessible by bike from the ferry terminal, and we love cyclists! The Mayne Island Community Bus will also be meeting most ferries, and runs by donation to all locations on Mayne - get more info here or by calling 250-539-0851.
Accommodations
Camping onsite during the festival
Camping is available for weekend festival passholders only, and camping pass sales open at the same time as festival tickets (usually in March).
Camping passes are per-person, not per-spot – everyone over the age of 12 who camps needs a camping pass, even if you are sharing a tent.
Camping onsite is popular, and we have fewer camping passes available than festival tickets, so we strongly suggest that you purchase them at the same time if you plan to camp! Our capacity is based on our limited water, waste, security, and volunteer resources, not solely on physical space, and is non-negotiable.
Gates open to campers at noon on Friday, and all campsites must be packed up by noon on Sunday. No camping permitted on Thursday night or Sunday night.
There is a summer fire ban on the island, fires are not allowed anywhere on Mayne. Contained camp stoves are welcome.
We have limited water onsite, so if you bring a vehicle, please help out by bringing your own drinking water as well.
Camper vans are welcome, or vehicles with small trailers. No vehicles or vehicle/trailer combinations totalling over 20 feet are permitted.
Sleeping in your car is fine! You do require a car camping pass.
One parking pass is required per vehicle parked overnight.
A camping pass is required for every person sleeping onsite.

More about staying onsite
All property surrounding our farm is private, no trespassing on our neighbours! Our security team will be checking the surrounding area, and will call in the RCMP to enforce this if necessary.
Bring a tent, your sleeping bag, mattress and pillow – don’t forget snacks, sunscreen, and a sweater & socks for the cool evening, maybe raingear and a tarp. Bring your happy voice, dancing feet and a swim suit. You will leave with great memories, tunes in your head and, we hope, all your own garbage. We have very limited waste disposal resources on the island, and appreciate your efforts to keep the property clean.
The Campbell Bay Music Festival is committed to being as close to a zero-waste event as possible. To that end, we need your help! We're asking all festivalgoers to do their part by 'pitching in to the right bin'. We'll have our recycle bins clearly marked and easy to find to make it easier than ever for you to do your part. Thanks in advance.
